Prior to his work in arts leadership, Hill built a career in marketing and consulting, advising both individual artists and major corporations. As founder of a creative agency, he provided strategic marketing, branding, and communications support to a wide range of clients across the arts and private sectors. Earlier, he held roles working with Fortune 100 companies, including Marsh & McLennan Companies and Deloitte, where he developed national training initiatives and large-scale communications strategies for complex organizations.
Hill began his career as a professional baritone, performing with respected opera companies and festivals in the United States and Europe, including Santa Fe Opera, Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, and Utah Opera, among others. His performance experience informs his leadership approach, grounding his strategic work in a deep understanding of the artistic process and the needs of performers and creative teams.
